Ardahan Snowfall Intensifies, Blizzard Conditions Reported

The snowfall that started at night in Ardahan ‍increased its impact, with air‌ temperatures dropping below zero in some parts of the city. The rainfall​ caused a blizzard in ​some areas, significantly reducing visibility.

The snowfall, which was effective throughout ⁤the​ night in the villages located in the higher ⁣parts ⁢of‍ the city, turned vehicles and roads white. A blizzard was also effective along with the snowfall, ​with visibility dropping below 40 meters in some places.

Special highways and administration teams worked throughout the night to prevent road closures and ensure public safety.

Aykut​ Yıldız described the situation, saying, “Our winter is back. The snow ‍has resumed, and the​ weather has cooled. A blizzard is now blowing, making ⁣travel ​conditions hazardous.”
