[사진출처 = 연합뉴스]U.S. e-commerce company Amazon is planning to hand out 2.3 billion won worth of products to encourage employees to vaccinate against COVID-19.
According to Bloomberg News on the 7th (local time), Amazon plans to hand out lottery tickets to employees who have completed COVID-19 vaccination and pay prizes to winners.
The company has prepared 18 products, including a $500,000 prize money (about 570 million won), a new car, and a vacation package, totaling $2 million (about 2.29 billion won).
Amazon hopes the event will help convince employees to refuse to be vaccinated.
“We believe that vaccination is the best way to protect our employees and communities from COVID-19,” an Amazon spokesperson said.
