Pragnanda became the champion by scoring seven points after drawing a tie with Adhiban. With this, the 17-year-old Tamilnadu boy got a ticket for the next FIDE World Cup. In the women’s category, Nandita tied with India’s own Divia Deshmukh and won the championship with seven and a half points.
