Assassin’s Creed: Shadowbringers Delayed – The Wait Just Got Longer: 2025 Release Date Announced
Assassin’s Creed: Shadowbringers Release Postponed to 2025
Ubisoft’s highly anticipated game, Assassin’s Creed: Shadowbringers, has been delayed from its original release date of November 15, 2024, to February 14, 2025. The decision was made to allow the development team more time to improve and enhance the game experience.
According to Ubisoft, the team needs additional time to refine the game, and as a result, players who have pre-ordered will receive a refund. However, those who pre-order in the future will receive the first game expansion pack for free.
The delay is partly due to the lessons learned from the release of Star Wars Outlaws, which received a lukewarm market response. Ubisoft aims to use this extra time to create a unique gameplay experience through the adventure story of the two protagonists, showcasing their ambition to deliver a high-quality game.
The postponement is expected to incur an additional cost of $20 million for Ubisoft. This news has sparked comparisons with the recently released Ghost of Yōtei on social media, highlighting the differences between the two games.
