Atari and Ubisoft have announced a strategic agreement to re-release five previously acclaimed titles: Cold Fear, I Am Alive, Child of Eden, Grow Home, and Grow Up. The deal, announced August 26, 2025, aims to bring these games to new platforms and audiences, according to a press release from Business Wire.
The agreement highlights a “shared commitment to delivering high-quality gaming experiences while honoring the original spirit of the titles.” Atari will publish the re-releases under its own label, exploring updated formats, new content, and expanded distribution.
Reviving Nostalgia and Reaching New Players
Ubisoft’s Deborah Papiernik, vice president of New Business, stated the re-release will allow “long-time players to revisit those memories while inviting new audiences to discover them for the first time.” She also expressed excitement about Atari’s “deep thankfulness for these classic titles” and how they will be evolved.

Atari’s Expansion Strategy
This proclamation follows Atari’s recent agreement to acquire Thunderful Group for $5.2 million. Shareholders of Thunderful Group are scheduled to vote on the acquisition at an extraordinary general meeting today, August 28, 2025.
