New York, NY – In a move aimed at bolstering financial stability for professional tennis players, the ATP men’s tennis tour disbursed $1.3 million to 26 players in 2024 through its innovative Baseline program. This groundbreaking initiative, launched in August 2023, guarantees minimum annual incomes for players ranked within the top 250.
The program, currently in its first of a three-year trial, provides support in three key areas:

The ATP determined the minimum income thresholds based on 2023 year-end rankings and 2024 earnings. Players ranked in the top 100 received a minimum of $300,000, those ranked 101-175 received $150,000, and those ranked 176-250 received $75,000.These figures will increase next season, further strengthening the program’s impact.
To put these figures into perspective, year-end No. 1 Jannik Sinner earned $16.9 million in prize money in 2024, while No. 100 Federico Coria took home approximately $590,000, and No. 250 Abdullah Shelbayh earned just under $205,000 in singles.

While over 100 players participated in the program in 2024, the ATP hopes to see even greater participation in the coming years. Players must sign up to be eligible for the program’s benefits.
