Thai superstar Patchrapa “Aum” Chaichua’s residential floodwaters have receded nearly 100 percent, allowing the actor to resume her daily schedule after being stranded by severe runoff. The clearance of the road in front of her property ends a period of isolation that forced her to rely on boat deliveries while flood barriers held off the rising waters.

The heavy flooding had previously surged over surrounding roads and blocked all vehicle exits from Patchrapa’s neighborhood. The actor had to wait for friends to deliver food by boat while she monitored the high water level outside her gates.

To protect her property, sandbags were placed around the perimeter to prevent the runoff from breaching the main structure. During the peak of the inundation, an unidentified creature—suspected by those present to be a snake displaying a hood or a monitor lizard—was filmed moving through the floodwaters near her home, prompting warnings for visitors to stay out of the water.

Bangkok Inundation Prompts Mik Thongraya Warnings

The severe weather also affected actor Mik Thongraya, who experienced travel halts around his Bangkok noodle shop due to three consecutive days of heavy rain that overwhelmed local drainage systems. Thongraya, appearing at an event for B-Quik EV Pro+ at Central Park Bangkok, stated that while the water did not enter his business, the surrounding streets remained impassable for days.

Thongraya publicly addressed Patchrapa’s situation after seeing footage of her utilizing a boat, jokingly offering to act as her personal oarsman if she required transportation. The actor noted that current urban flooding stems primarily from rapid rainfall accumulation rather than overflow from northern river basins.

Residents Move Belongings as Heavy Rainfall Continues

With weather forecasts predicting additional heavy rainfall within days, residents in low-lying sectors face ongoing drainage challenges. Thongraya stated that standard barriers like sandbags offer limited protection against broad-scale street flooding, prompting him to move vulnerable items to upper floors as a precaution.

While Patchrapa’s immediate access route has dried, it remains unverified if other properties in her immediate district will face similar isolation during upcoming downpours.
