Australia defeats Tunisia… All the participating countries in the AFC won except Korea and Qatar.

Australia also claimed victory at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, continuing as a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Australia scored the winning goal in the 23rd minute of the 23rd minute of the World Cup Group D against Tunisia at the Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah, Qatar on the 26th at 7:00 (Korea time) winning with 0

Australia, who lost 1-4 in their first match against France, changed the atmosphere and saved the possibility of progressing to the round of 16. This is the first World Cup victory in 12 years since the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

In particular, following Saudi Arabia, Japan, and Iran, they report victories and carry on the Asian wind. Australia is geographically on the Oceania continent, but as a member of the AFC, it passed through the Asian regional qualifiers.

As a result, of the six AFC member countries that took part in this tournament, all but Korea and host country Qatar reported victory. With 4 wins, it tied for the most wins in the group stage of AFC World Cup member countries (World Cup 2002 Korea-Japan, World Cup 2010 South Africa, World Cup 2018 Russia).

Saudi Arabia (1 win) defeated Argentina 2-1, Japan (1 win) defeated Germany 2-1, Iran (1 win 1 loss) lost to England 2-6 in the first leg, but lost in the second clause Wales 2-0.

Korea, who played just one game, will have their second game against Ghana on the 28th. In the first leg against Uruguay, they drew 0-0. Qatar, the host country, suffered two defeats and was the first to be eliminated.

The world is paying attention to the rapid rise of Asian countries.

The 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup and the 2010 South Africa World Cup are the two countries that have passed the group stage the most times in a World Cup. All were Korean and Japanese. Three countries have never reached the round of 16 at the same time.

At the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, no Asian country made it past the group stage, and at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, only Japan progressed to the round of 16.
