Inti Creates has announced that the Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced is being prepared for a release on the Nintendo Switch 2. This upcoming version of the collection will feature a new story mode, marking a significant addition to the existing trilogy.

New Content and Hardware Transition

The announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2 edition was shared during the BitSummit PUNCH event. According to reporting from Anime News Network and Nintendo Everything, the inclusion of a new story mode provides additional content for players transitioning to the new hardware.

The trilogy is expected to arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 within 2026. This release follows the developer’s work with the Azure Striker Gunvolt franchise, bringing the enhanced collection to a newer platform with expanded narrative elements.

Announcement of New Spin-Off Title

In addition to the trilogy’s hardware update, Inti Creates utilized the BitSummit PUNCH stage to reveal a new project within the franchise. Niche Gamer reported the announcement of Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 3, a new spin-off game.

The reveal of both the Switch 2 edition and the new spin-off highlights an expansion of the Gunvolt intellectual property, combining updated legacy content with new standalone experiences for the series.
