Proving Education to Continue Receiving Family Financial Support

An essential requirement to continue receiving Family Financial Support for children or dependents.

According to information from the Cauca Family Compensation Fund (Comfacauca), in order to continue receiving the monthly family subsidy for children, stepchildren or siblings orphaned by parents, between 12 and 18 years and 11 months old, they must prove their education through a certificate issued by the educational institution in which they study and approved by the Ministry of National Education, proof of payment or legalization of registration.

Renewal Dates for the Certificate

School: Age (12 to 18 years and 11 months)

• Calendar A: March 1 to April 20, 2024
• Calendar B: September 1 to October 20, 2024

University: Age (Up to 18 years and 11 months)

• First semester 2024: March 1 to April 20, 2024
• Second semester: September 1 to October 20, 2024

If the beneficiary turns 12 outside the dates described or if the educational institution issues the certificate on later dates, they can present the certificate. There will be a retrospective effect of two months from the date of filing.

The School Certificates are received by emailing afiliapop@comfacauca.com or at the Comfacauca Family Support offices in Popayán, Santander de Quilichao, Puerto Tejada, El Bordo and Guapi.
