‘The Eight Show’ is a mystery drama about what happens to eight participants who are invited to a mystery show and are locked in a secret space on the 8th floor according to the rule that ‘money is build up over time’.
It was produced by adapting the webbounces ‘Money Game’ and ‘Pygame’ by writer Bae Jin-soo, and was directed by director Han Jae-rim of the films ‘The Face Reader’ (2013) , ‘The King’ (2016) , and ‘Emergency Statement’ (2022). The eight participants are played by Ryu Jun-yeol, Chun Woo-hee, Park Jung-min, Lee Yeol-eum, Park Hae-joon, Lee Joo-young, Moon Jeong-hee, and Bae Seong-woo .
Director Han, who directed his first series with this work, said, “‘The Eight Show’ is about eight people who have fallen into the abyss of life and are about to give up their lives when they receive an offer from unknown person to ‘buy the time you gave up.’ “It’s a comedy and a tragedy where they cooperate and annoy each other.”
All episodes of the eight episodes of ‘The Eight Show’ will be released on the 17th of this month.
