“I’ve never had a seafood festival before… but it’s amazing. I love it. It’s on fire.”
The first seafood festival, ambitiously planned by restaurant entrepreneur Baek Jong-won, CEO of The Born Korea, was held in Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do from the 1st to the 3rd.
However, the problem was that since the first day of the festival, heavy rain fell in the Tongyeong area due to Typhoon Kongrey.
Since there were no tents set up to shelter from the rain, visitors had no choice but to hold umbrellas or eat while being hit by the rain.
As the crowds gathered, there were complaints about parking difficulties and long wait times.
Ultimately, CEO Baek said on his YouTube channel: “I deeply apologize for any inconveniences you may have experienced in connection with the festival” and added: “By learning from various inconveniences, we will be reborn as a festival where more people can participate comfortably and happily to the future.” .
They announced that they are preparing an apology video together with the city of Tongyeong.
