A judge has dismissed Justin Baldoni’s countersuit against Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist, according to court documents. The countersuit stemmed from an original lawsuit filed by Lively against Baldoni.
Judge Lewis J. Liman also dismissed Baldoni’s $250 million defamation lawsuit against The New York Times. The initial lawsuit sought $400 million, alleging defamation and extortion by Lively and Reynolds.
Baldoni’s legal team was given until june 23 to amend parts of their claims,but ultimately the judge ruled against the countersuit.The court stated that Baldoni’s team had not sufficiently alleged that Reynolds, Sloane, or The Times doubted the truthfulness of their statements regarding Baldoni.
