Bangkokians Rejoice: Cold Wave Confirmed from 17-19 January with Temps as Low as 20 Degrees Celsius

Bangkokians prepare to rejoice, confirms Wav-Rom From 17 to 19 January, another cold wave, with 20 degrees Celsius remaining.

On January 16, Dr Royon Jitdon, consultant to the Hydro Informatics Institute (NHI), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (WH), revealed that from examining weather patterns (WAF- ROM) it was found that the 1020 line or the high pressure line indicates that the cold wind reaches the central region. From January 17 to 19, temperatures are expected to drop further in many areas, from the northern to the central region. Especially in Bangkok, on the evening of January 17, the temperature will be 20 degrees C. The observation point is full of dust because the air is still due to the north wind colliding with the south wind.

“This year it will be less cold than last year. Last year the temperature was 17-19 degrees Celsius, but this year the temperature rose to 20 degrees Celsius, for about 3 days, after which the weather will gradually warm up. Because this year the southwest monsoon will blow continuously, rarely stopping,” Dr Royl said.
