Local police and hotel staff confirmed the complete evacuation of the establishment, which housed about 250 people. Firefighters initiated operations to extinguish the blaze, which originated in the basement. A team of three firefighters entered the building.
Shortly after, one of the three firefighters was reported missing. Search efforts intensified, focusing on areas with heavy smoke. Firefighters broke skylights to improve ventilation.
After bringing the fire under control, the missing firefighter was found and evacuated. Medical personnel from the Medical Emergency System (SEM),including a medical helicopter,provided assistance.
