Baystate Health has appointed Clara Guixa as its chief information and digital officer (CIO), effective June 2. Guixa will spearhead the health system’s information and technology strategy.
As CIO,guixa will be responsible for driving a thorough and innovative IT agenda across Baystate Health and its affiliates. Her role is crucial in optimizing IT solutions and enhancing patient care through operational excellence.

Guixa joins Baystate Health from Boston Children’s Hospital, where she served as vice president of Applications and deputy chief information officer. her extensive background includes a deep understanding of institution-wide technology investments and data governance strategies.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and completed an executive program at the University of Chicago Booth.
