BCCI | For Unsung Heroes; BCCI announces awards for ground staff and curators

Mumbai: The BCCI has announced a big reward for the curators and ground staff of the six stadiums hosting the 15th edition of the IPL. 1.25 crore has been announced for all.

Most of the matches of the season were played at Wankhede, DY Patil, MCA and Pune stadiums. The stadiums will be awarded Rs 25 lakh each, while Eden Gardens, where the playoffs took place, and Ahmedabad, the final venue, will be awarded Rs 12.5 lakh each.

This was announced by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah. This is the first time in the history of the IPL that such a large sum of money has been announced for ground staff.

Kovid was followed by Maharashtra in the league. Seventy matches have been played in four venues in Maharashtra this season alone.
