The action thriller franchise Becky is returning for a third installment titled The Last Temptation of Becky. Quiver Distribution has confirmed that the production has wrapped and is targeting a theatrical release in summer 2026.

Lulu Wilson will reprise her role as the titular protagonist, Becky. The third film continues the series’ trend of casting established comedic actors in antagonistic roles, this time featuring Neil Patrick Harris as the primary villain.

Harris’s character is described as a neo-Nazi who is intent on establishing the Fourth Reich. This follows the precedent set in the previous two films, where comedic performers were cast as the leaders of extremist groups.

The third film sees the return of directors Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion, who also helmed the original 2020 movie. The announcement regarding the title, cast, and plot details was made public on February 27, 2026.

Franchise History and Evolution

The series began with Becky, released on June 5, 2020. The first film introduced Becky Hooper, a thirteen-year-old girl who defends her family during a weekend getaway at a lakefront home. The plot centered on Becky’s conflict with a gang of neo-Nazis led by a character played by Kevin James.

The initial film was originally scheduled for a world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2020, but the event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was released via digital platforms, video-on-demand, and select drive-in theaters.
