According to a detective, the accused, identified as West, reportedly prevented the woman from leaving, dragging her back and forcing her to consume what she believed to be crack cocaine. This alleged act of coercion is central to the charges.
A Night of Alleged Coercion and Abuse
following the alleged drug coercion, West is said to have made explicit sexual demands. The detective told the court that the woman acquiesced to sexual activity,but only under duress,stating it was “only to appease him and as of the drugs she had taken.”
Further disturbing allegations detailed in court include West allegedly grabbing the woman by her windpipe, tearing her clothing, and demanding she remain naked. He is also accused of demanding a sex act and destroying her phone by flushing it down the toilet.
Escape and Arrest
In the aftermath of this ordeal, the woman reportedly managed to escape the property and alert the authorities.
When West was apprehended, his initial statement to police claimed the woman had assaulted him and threatened him with a knife. However, during formal interviews, he reportedly invoked his right to remain silent and offered no comment to officers’ questions.

West’s defense lawyer argued for his release on bail, subject to certain conditions, with the 38-year-old strenuously denying the charges.
