Bill Belichick, the new north carolina tar Heels coach, addressed his move to college football and the support he receives from his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, during a “Good Morning America” interview Friday. belichick, promoting his book “The Art of Winning,” said his transition from the NFL has been a daily learning experience.
Since taking the UNC job in December, Belichick said he’s focused on recruiting, understanding college rules, and building a team. He noted the players’ enthusiasm and eagerness to improve. “They’re hungry. They have dreams. They want to be good,” Belichick said.
The coach also addressed the scrutiny surrounding his relationship with Hudson. Reports had surfaced last week about Hudson allegedly being banned from UNC facilities, which the university denied. Athletic Director Bubba Cunningham refuted the claims, stating there was no effort to keep Hudson away.
Belichick acknowledged Hudson’s support, stating, “She’s been terrific through the whole process, and she’s been very helpful to me.” He explained that Hudson handles business matters, allowing him to concentrate on football.
