Amy Askren wrote on Facebook that the pneumonia developed rapidly, leaving Ben unable to communicate. the couple⁤ resides in Wisconsin with their three children.

Askren, a two-time NCAA Division I wrestling champion⁣ and 2008 U.S. Olympian,⁣ retired from mixed martial arts in⁤ 2019. He previously held ⁣welterweight titles in bellator MMA and One Championship.
