Bengali youth killed in Thrissur after being drugged; The body was buried the next day – News18 Malayalam

Thrissur: Police said that the murder of a Bengali goldsmith by his wife and a friend was premeditated. Mansoor’s aide Beer (33) and Mansoor’s wife Reshma Beevi (30) were behind the murder, police said.

On the night of December 12, Beeru arrived with alcohol and drank with Mansoor in an upstairs room. When Mansoor fainted in the liquor, the beer came down. Mansoor, who was sleeping with Reshma, was hit on the head and killed.

The body of Malik, who was killed the next night, was buried where they were staying. On December 19, Reshma and Beer lodged a complaint at the Cherpu police station saying that they could not see her husband. Reshma initially told police that Mansoor was dead when she grabbed the bar and beat him while he was arguing with her husband.

But it is in the detailed questioning that the essence of the murder unfolds. They were accompanied at home by the couple’s two children and a supportive child. These children were taken over by the Child Welfare Committee.

The real truth came out when the two were questioned in detail. Reshma admits that she and Beer were close. Reshma said that Beeru had beaten Malik to death with his consent to live together. After the murder, the body was hidden in the toilet for a whole day. After that, they dug a hole in the back of the house and covered it for the night. Police have also received information that the two had bought their own house to live together.

A youth was arrested with 300 liters of foreign liquor being smuggled in a car from Mahe. Jacob, a native of Kalamassery, Ernakulam was arrested by the police. The liquor was smuggled in for retail sales under the guise of Christmas and New Year celebrations.

He tried to smuggle 375 bottles of various brands of foreign liquor in 25 cases. Defendant stated that the sale was targeted at Thrissur and Ernakulam districts. Those who buy and sell liquor from the accused will be investigated. Wadanapally police said that the accused will be produced in Chavakkad court.

Police said the inspection would be tightened in the coming days. Officials said that the cheap liquor available in Mahe is being sold in Kerala for huge profits.
