The Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Benin organized, on Wednesday March 13, 2024, an orientation and discussion session for new scholarship holders from the Government of Japan, who will leave in a few days for their studies in Japan. These are young Beninese students selected in several scholarship categories, at the end of the selection procedure counting for the year 2024. First, members of the Culture Department of the Embassy of Japan drew attention to scholarship holders, the official guidelines established by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Culture (MEXT) that they must respect in Japan, in order to guarantee better study conditions. Then, the session extended to some former grant holders of the Government of Japan continued at the Residence of Japan. The latter did not fail to share their various experiences with the visibly happy new scholarship holders.

Essentially, they are asked to ensure compliance with the laws and regulations in force in Japan, to be interested in Japanese culture and language as well as the Japanese way of life, and not to hesitate to express their various concerns with the reception structures, to seize the future opportunities that could present themselves to them, etc., in order to make the most of their stay in Japan. During the discussions, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Benin, ICHIJO Motonobu, wished the new scholarship holders every success in their studies, and expressed his gratitude to the former scholarship holders for their support for this now usual activity. of the Embassy, ​​before providing useful advice to new scholarship holders.
