Seoul, South Korea – – A series of strategic partnerships announced today signal a growing convergence between artificial intelligence, financial technology, and the Korean cultural industry, as companies seek to leverage new technologies for global expansion.
AI-driven stock market data startup Waiker has partnered with Nasdaq to commercialize ‘TotalView,’ a service designed to address information asymmetry in US stock markets. According to the company, a key challenge for international investors is limited access to the depth of market data available to US institutional traders. While most international investors view only the top 20 bid and ask prices, Nasdaq’s institutional clients analyze thousands of lines of data in real-time. Waiker’s research and development, facilitated by the Nasdaq partnership, aims to bridge this information gap.
The announcement comes as Korean firms increasingly look to utilize AI to enhance their competitiveness in global financial markets. The details of the ‘TotalView’ service and its pricing structure were not disclosed, but Waiker CEO Hwang Kyu-jong stated the partnership represents a significant step towards leveling the playing field for international investors.
In a separate development, IP blockchain infrastructure company Story has formed a strategic partnership with Web3 entertainment firm Witch. This collaboration focuses on accelerating the financial tokenization of Korean content, known as K-Content. Witch operates ‘WAVIST’ (wavist.io), a regulated RWA (Real World Asset) investment platform that tokenizes ownership of entertainment intellectual property, including live events and visual storytelling. Story’s programmable IP infrastructure will be integrated into WAVIST, expanding the platform’s reach and attracting global investment.
The move reflects a broader trend of utilizing blockchain technology to unlock new revenue streams for the Korean entertainment industry. By tokenizing IP, companies can offer fractional ownership to investors, potentially attracting a wider pool of capital and fostering greater engagement with fans. The partnership aims to position WAVIST as a leading global platform for K-Culture RWA trading.
Meanwhile, beSUCCESS, a company initially established as a media outlet focused on Korean startups in 2012, has evolved into a multifaceted organization supporting Korean enterprises’ global expansion. BeSUCCESS now operates as a media group with 11 in-house media outlets, including KoreaTechDesk and AsiaTechDaily, collectively generating over 3 million monthly impressions and 800,000 monthly page views. The company has also launched a global branded content service and established a network of venture capital, legal, and press partners in the United States, Singapore, Japan, Dubai, and the United Kingdom.
Founded by James Jung, who currently serves as CEO, beSUCCESS began by providing public relations, education, consulting, acceleration, and investment attraction services to Korean startups seeking to expand overseas. The company has hosted large-scale global startup conferences, including ‘beLAUNCH’ and ‘beGLOBAL’, and launched ‘beGINNING,’ a platform for attracting overseas investment. Jung’s background is rooted in the Korean tech news landscape, with beSUCCESS initially gaining prominence as a leading Korean tech news website.
The expansion of beSUCCESS into a media group underscores the growing importance of effective communication and international networking for Korean companies navigating the global market. The company’s diversified portfolio of services reflects a comprehensive approach to supporting Korean businesses throughout their internationalization journey.
Elsewhere, BSuccess (a separate entity from beSUCCESS, based in Israel) provides career transition and human resources consulting services. Founded by Emi Scliar, the company offers outplacement services for employees, support for retirees, and career consulting for individuals. BSuccess also provides HR consulting for small companies and boards of directors, focusing on practical and goal-oriented processes to maximize human potential. Scliar, with 30 years of experience in HR management and organizational consulting, established BSuccess to provide a comprehensive suite of services under one roof.
These developments highlight a dynamic period for Korean businesses, marked by a strategic embrace of emerging technologies and a concerted effort to expand their global footprint. The partnerships announced today demonstrate a willingness to collaborate and innovate in order to overcome traditional barriers to international growth.
