Episode 13: A Twist of Fate

Ahmed Hatim’s attempt to sell gold to “Chalhoub” Mohammad Radwan takes an unexpected turn. “Chalhoub” decides to cheat him, and Mahmoud Hafez informs “Abaza” that Omar Effendi’s gold bullion is an easy target for theft. The Abazar people seize the opportunity, hitting Omar Effendi on the head and stealing the gold.

Omar Effendi devises a new plan to help “Ahmed Hatim” raise the money. Inspired by the “broker’s” tip that “Sabai” is paying off debts through the horse racing lottery, Omar Effendi decides to bet on the weakest horse. In a surprising turn of events, the horse wins the race after being doped.
