Beyond the Cake: Unveiling the Spiritual Significance of Guruvayur Temple

Thrissur: High Court restricts video footage on the floor of Guruvayur temple. The court imposed restrictions in hearing a petition regarding the cutting of birthday cake of Jesna Salim, who claimed to be a devotee of Krishna, and who drew attention by drawing pictures of Krishna. The order was passed by a Devaswom bench of Justice Anil K Narendran.

The court reminded that the walkway of Guruvayur temple is not a place to cut birthday cake. Videography should be allowed only for weddings and religious ceremonies. All other forms of videography should be strictly regulated or banned. The order also bans videos accompanying celebrities and videography by vloggers.
