Trial Begins for Namo Bharat Train Beyond Priority Division

The trial run, which departed from Duhai station and reached Murad Nagar station, was a part of the testing process for Namo Bharat trains. The upcoming phase of the Regional Rapid Train Service (RRTS) will cover a 25 km stretch between Duhai and Meerut, with four stations including Murad Nagar, Modi Nagar North, Modi Nagar South, and Meerut South upon completion.
In a recent announcement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi confirmed that the 82 km Delhi-Meerut stretch will be completed within a year and a half. Upon completion, the regional express train service will connect key areas in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan, significantly improving connectivity and accessibility for passengers.
Namo Bharat trains have a unique feature, with an all-female staff complement. Prime Minister Modi emphasized that this initiative reflects India’s commitment to women’s empowerment.
