Biden Unveils Powerhouse Delegation: 9 Top Officials, Legislators, and Governors to Attend Claudia’s Inauguration, Led by Jill

So far, 106 countries and 22 international organizations have confirmed their presence at the inauguration, in support of the new Government of Mexico.

Mexico City, September 24 (However). – Joe Biden, President of the USAannounced this Tuesday that he will send a delegation from his Government to the protest oh Pardo Claudia Sheinbaum like Chairman from Mexico.

Through a statement, the White House reported that Jill Biden, the first lady of the United States, will lead the delegation that will attend the presidential inauguration of Sheinbaum Pardo on October 1.

The group will include: Ken Salazar, US Ambassador to Mexico; Xavier Becerra, Secretary of Health and Human Services; Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of Homeland Security; Chris Murphy, Senator from Connecticut; Nanette Barragán, member of the House of Representatives and chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus; Liz Sherwood-Randall, White House National Security Advisor; Carlos Elizondo, Biden’s deputy assistant and White House social secretary; and the Mayor of Tucson, Arizona, Regina Romero.

The next president of Mexico announced a list of the main heads of state confirmed to be present during the inauguration and presentation of the Presidential Band which will take place in the Chamber of Deputies on October 1. So far, 106 countries and 22 international organizations have confirmed that.

Among the leaders who will be present are Gabriel Boric, President of Chile; Gustavo Petro, President of Colombia; Lula da Silva, President of Brazil; Miguel Díaz-Canel, President of Cuba; Xiomara Castro, President of Honduras; Luis Alberto Arce, President of Bolivia; John Briceño, Prime Minister of Belize, among others.

Representing the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the former president of the Federal Republic of Germany, Christian Wilhelm Walter Wulff, will be present.

In addition, four vice-presidents will be present; four heads of legislative bodies; 17 representatives at ministerial level; 10 deputy ministers; special envoys, 10 heads of international organisations, as well as resident and concurrent ambassadors.

The other leaders and heads of international organizations who will be present are the following: Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica; Luis Rodolfo Abinader Corona, President of the Dominican Republic; Bernardo Arévalo de León, President of Guatemala; Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of Ghana; Régine Abraham, Presidential Counselor of the Presidential Transition Council of the Republic of Haiti; Mohamed Yunus Al-Menfi, President of the State of Libya; Santiago Peña Palacios, President of Paraguay; Bucharaya Hamudi Sidina, Prime Minister of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic; and Philip Joseph Pierre, Prime Minister of Saint Lucia.

Through protocol, Mexico sent invitations to all the governments of the countries with which it has diplomatic relations so that their heads of state attend the presentation of the Presidential Band and the inauguration of Sheinbaum.

Sheinbaum explained that Peru and Ecuador will not be invited, as he expressed his agreement with the policies implemented by López Obrador, which limits diplomatic relations with both countries.

With Peru, since President Pedro Castillo was dismissed, arrested and then replaced by Dina Boluarte, who currently continues to lead the South American Nation.

In the case of Ecuador, as a result of the attack of the Ecuadorian Police into the Mexican Embassy in Quito at the beginning of April to comply with the arrest order against the former vice president Jorge Glas, accused of corruption.

Furthermore, although he did not deny the presence of King Philip VI of Spain, he expressed uncertainty about his visit for the swearing in, as he remembered that the Spanish crown should apologize for the massacres caused during the Conquest.

Ifigenia Martínez, president of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies, a woman with extensive academic and political experience on the left, will be the one to attack Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo with the Presidential Band.

On October 1, Sheinbaum will become the first President of Mexico and the most popular leader in the country’s history, with more than 35 million votes.
