Vancouver, British Columbia – Bilibili Gaming secured its place in the bracket stage of the league of Legends Mid-Season Invitational after a decisive 3-0 victory over G2 Esports on Saturday. The League of Legends tournament boasts a $2 million prize pool.
G2 esports will now face GAM Esports on Sunday for the last remaining bracket-stage position. GAM Esports previously defeated FURIA 3-2.
The mid-Season Invitational features teams from various League of Legends regions, including China, Korea, Pacific, the Americas, and Europe-Middle East-Africa. Gen.G Esports, T1, Anyone’s Legend, CTBC Flying Oyster, FlyQuest, and KOI had already been seeded directly into the bracket stage.
Bilibili gaming’s sweep included a 35-minute victory on blue, followed by wins in 30 and 33 minutes on red.
FURIA pushed GAM esports to their limit.After FURIA took the opening map in 45 minutes, GAM Esports secured their win with victories in 35 and 37 minutes.
