Bitwise Asset Management, based in San Francisco, has acquired Attestant Limited, a London-based Ethereum staking provider managing $3.7 billion in staked assets. This strategic move allows bitwise to incorporate Ethereum staking into its range of investment products, including exchange-traded products like the $2.71 billion Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB), private funds, and hedge fund solutions. The acquisition underscores Bitwise’s commitment to serving high-net-worth and institutional clients with comprehensive crypto investment options.
The Attestant team and its suite of products will be rebranded as “Bitwise Onchain Solutions” or “Bitwise OS.” This new division will concentrate on enhancing Ethereum services, developing staking solutions for additional protocols, and contributing to the open-source community.Bitwise said that initially, staking services via Bitwise Onchain Solutions will require a minimum stake of $10 million.
