‘Black and White Chef’ Edward Lee selected as Pulmuone brand model
Pulmuone Foods announced on the 8th (Korean time) that it had selected Edward Lee, a Korean-American chef who appeared in the Netflix cooking survival program ‘Black and White Chef’, as its brand ambassador.
Edward Lee showed his love for Korean food by introducing a new Korean fusion dish in ‘Black and White Chef’, and especially in the ‘Infinite Cooking Hell’ mission, he received as much attention as the winner for his innovative dish using tofu as the main ingredient.
Edward Lee plans to widely promote ‘Tofu’, which is Pulmuone’s representative product and has become his symbol, as well as the plant-based food brand ‘Pulmuone Earth Diet’ and the easy-to-cook seasoning of the premium Korean convenience food brand ‘Bandeuhansik’.
Pulmuone is carrying out various marketing campaigns using Edward Lee’s recipes, and plans to launch new products jointly developed with Edward Lee within the next year.
In addition, we plan to pursue collaboration with the Pulmuone brand campaign in the United States.
Edward Lee said, “I have always deeply sympathized with Pulmuone’s brand spirit and used it in the U.S., and it is an honor to work as a brand ambassador.” He added, “I will work with Pulmuone in the future to promote Korean cuisine and culture more widely by conducting various campaigns.”
Edward Lee operates four restaurants in the United States. He won the famous American cooking survival show ‘Iron Chef America Season 8’ in 2010, and also attracted attention as a guest chef at the White House state dinner during the Korea-US summit in 2023.
