Black Library Announces Throne Questoris and New Special Editions

Black Library is expanding its Warhammer 40,000 fiction line with a new Imperial Knights novel titled Throne Questoris, alongside an annotated edition of Cypher: Lord of the Fallen and an ornate special edition of Grey Knights. The upcoming releases offer fresh narratives spanning the 41st Millennium, featuring ancient war machines, rogue operations, and daemonhunters.

Throne Questoris Follows a Knightly Scion on a Dying World

Throne Questoris by Victoria Hayward places readers inside the Throne Mechanicum of an ancient war machine tasked with defending a failing planet. Knightly scion Asrien Balateur stands moments away from claiming their birthright throne as mysterious snowstorms engulf the land and Imperial Knights vanish among shattered castles. The narrative shifts focus away from petty baronial squabbles as ancient madness emerges from the planet’s murky past.

The novel blends posturing, intrigue, and action to explore the 41st Millennium from a unique perspective. Readers seeking earlier stories about Imperial Knights can currently access Kingsblade, Knightsblade, and Knights of the Imperium on the Black Library app.

Cypher and Grey Knights Return in Collector Formats

John French’s classic novel Cypher: Lord of the Fallen joins the release schedule as the next release in Black Library’s line of Illustrated and Annotated Editions. The book recounts the enigmatic rogue’s escape from Holy Terra, featuring a new author introduction, commentary throughout, and all-new scene illustrations.

Ben Counter’s Grey Knights returns in a new special edition that details the Chapter’s eternal war against the empyrean. The plot centers on the return of Ghargatuloth, a powerful daemon banished by a mortally wounded daemonhunter a thousand years prior. A waiting party of Grey Knights anticipates the return as part of a perilous prophecy that complicates their mission beyond a simple engagement.

Pre-Orders Open Soon for All Three Warhammer Titles

All three Black Library publications will be available for pre-order soon through official channels. The releases highlight ongoing additions to the publisher’s catalog of narratives set within the Warhammer universe.
