BLACKPINK is gearing up to release new music,with YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk confirming plans for a new EP. The declaration, made via a YouTube video on august 18, 2025, has sent ripples of excitement through the BLINK fandom worldwide. This marks a notable moment for the group, as it will be their first EP since 2019’s ‘Kill This Love’ and their first collection of new material following the success of the 2022 album ‘Born Pink.’
A Return to the Studio after a Record-Breaking Tour
The upcoming EP follows a period of intense activity for BLACKPINK. following the release of ‘Born Pink,’ the group embarked on the ‘Born Pink World Tour’ (2022-2023), which was certified as the highest-grossing tour by a girl group, captivating over 1.8 million fans globally. They briefly returned with the single ‘Jump’, co-produced by Diplo, before launching the ‘Deadline’ tour, which continues with dates throughout Asia in October and December, including stops in Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, and Hong Kong.

While preparing for their group comeback, each BLACKPINK member has been flourishing in individual endeavors.
