2024 Space Station Hwajon Festa: A Unique Experience in Goyang Special City

Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Tourism Organization⁤ are set to ‌host the ‘2024 Space Station Hwajon Festa’ at the Drone Anchor ​Center in Hwajon-dong, Goyang-si, for two days on the 6th (16:00-21:00) and the 7th (10:00-18:00).

This event is an upgraded version of the ‘Goyang Future Job Festival’, ⁢which was selected for the ‘Historical, Cultural, and Ecological Tourism Convergence Content‌ Development’ contest for two consecutive years. The festival will be held under the theme of ‘Flowers of Hwajeon in the Aviation’, and is jointly hosted and organized by Goyang Special City, Hwajeon Village Management Cooperative, and Korea Aerospace University.

The main contents of the festival consist of aviation education experience operated by students of Korea Aerospace University and cultural ​experience booths operated by Hwajeon Village Management Cooperative. A ⁣total of 11 experience booths will be‍ operated, including 5 aviation-themed experiences such as ​making your own airplane, airplane shooting master, making ⁣an air rocket, and solar observation, and 6 ⁢cultural experiences such as making a birthstone bracelet and ​making a water ball key ring.

In addition, various events and prizes such as science magic show, music performance, Korea Aerospace University dance club performance, and flying an ‌airplane ‌far are prepared. Customers who purchase a certain ⁣amount of‍ Festa experience tickets will ‌be automatically‌ entered into‌ a lucky draw and will be given a 5,000 won Hwajeon Village Love gift certificate that can be ‌used at stores in the Hwajeon Village area near the event venue.

An official ‍from ⁣the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization ‌said, “This ⁣event is⁣ expected to become a unique experience ⁣content ‌representing Goyang Special City by combining specialized educational content on aerospace with local tourism content,” adding, “We hope that many people will ⁣visit and ‌make ⁤enjoyable and precious ‍memories, as‌ there⁢ are various experience programs and events prepared.”

Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Tourism Organization have ⁣selected Gimpo City and Yangpyeong ⁢County as new content development regions through the ⁣’2024 ‍Historical, Cultural, and Ecological Tourism Convergence​ Content​ Development’ public contest, and are continuously developing ‘convergence tourism content’ by selecting Goyang Special City and Gapyeong County as additional support targets for the exploration project.
