(Suwon = Yonhap News) Reporters Lee Young-ju and Kwon Jun-woo = A fire broke out in a Grand Carnival vehicle parked in the underground parking lot of an apartment complex in Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, at 5:53 a.m. on the 7th, forcing 60 residents and others to evacuate.
Firefighting authorities deployed 31 pieces of equipment and 93 people, including firefighters, to completely extinguish the fire in 20 minutes and then proceeded with smoke removal work inside the building.
Part of the Carnival vehicle was burned in this fire, and no casualties were reported. It is reported that other parked vehicles also did not suffer any significant damage.
The fire occurred in the engine room of a parked vehicle. After checking CCTV, it was determined that the fire was not caused by external factors.
Police and fire authorities believe that the fire occurred due to electrical factors such as a short circuit and are investigating the exact circumstances.
