Blizzard announced on its official YouTube channel that it will be running a classic mode in Overwatch 2 for three weeks.
On the 12th (Korean time), Blizzard celebrated the 10th anniversary of the release of the Overwatch series and released a new trailer related to Overwatch on its official YouTube channel.
To sum up the contents of the trailer, 6:6 Classic mode will be played in Overwatch 2 for 3 weeks starting on the 13th. Classic mode refers to a mode that allows you to play the Season 1 version of Overwatch 1, which was released in 2016.
Accordingly, only 21 initial heroes with initial performance can be played in Overwatch 2 Classic mode for 3 weeks. It appears that duplicate picks, where all six people choose the same hero, will be possible. Additionally, maps that disappeared as the season progressed will likely be playable again.
Meanwhile, Blizzard released the heroes released each year, starting with the Juno character released in 2024, through its official X (formerly Twitter) account on the 8th. In addition, a trailer was scheduled to be released on the 12th, and at the time, gamers debated whether Overwatch Classic or mobile would be released.
