Thai-International Films of the End of the Year: 20 Movies to be Released

Phillip⁤ Securities stated that about 20 Thai films will be shown in ‍the last quarter of the year, including four MAJOR joint ‍venture films: Thee Yot 2, Wai Peng 2, Ko Kalok Village, and Khun Chai. Additionally, interesting Hollywood films such as⁣ Joker 2, Gladiator 2, Venom‌ 3, Kraven the Hunter,‍ and animated films ​like Lion King Mufasa, Moana 2, and Sonic 3 will also be⁣ released.

MAWR’s Profit Forecast Adjusted Upwards

PCL MAWR or Major Cineplex Group from⁤ KGI Securities adjusted the profit forecast ‌for 2024-2025 upwards by ⁤1-2% based on the assumption of‍ increasing GPM and ‍the proportion of⁣ SG&A expenses to sales and reducing total income. ⁢MAWR’s new profit in 2024F is expected⁣ to be ⁢782‍ million baht.

Stock Repurchases Proceeding

MAWR is ‍in the process of buying back shares, allocating a limit of 1,000 million baht to ⁢buy back​ no more‌ than​ 76.80 million shares or ​9.26% between 16 July 2024-16‍ January 2025. As of 19 September, 38.39 million shares ‍valued at 516.81 million baht have been repurchased.

Target⁢ Price Adjusted⁣ to 17.80 Baht

The target price has been adjusted to 17.80 baht from the original 13.10 baht, and the recommendation for BIG shares has been increased.
