Ministry of Interior Discloses Details of Kalyubia Incident
The security services of the Ministry of Interior have released a statement regarding the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Kalyubia, which was widely reported on news sites and social media platforms.
According to the investigation, on September 14, 2024, the First Shubhra El Khaimah Police Department of the Qalyubia Security Directorate received a report from a local hospital about the arrival of a deceased resident worker who had sustained fatal stab wounds.
Following a thorough investigation and gathering of information, it was determined that the altercation occurred due to a dispute between the deceased and another worker residing in the department. The accused allegedly believed that the deceased had damaged his reputation, leading to the fatal confrontation.
The suspect was arrested and, upon questioning, admitted to the crime. The investigation also revealed the location of the weapon used in the altercation, and the accused has been prosecuted accordingly.
