Crucially, their success is rooted in a staunchly DIY ethos. They’ve built their fanbase organically, bypassing customary industry gatekeepers and connecting directly with listeners through social media and relentless touring. This independence allows them complete creative control and the freedom to address issues that mainstream artists might shy away from.
Addressing Systemic Issues: Race, Class, and Politics

Their lyrics confront systemic racism, class inequality, and political hypocrisy with unflinching honesty. songs like “We Live Here” and “Worth” are powerful indictments of the social injustices prevalent in the UK, resonating with audiences who feel unheard and overlooked. They don’t offer easy answers, but they force listeners to confront uncomfortable truths. This commitment to social commentary is what sets them apart and explains their growing influence.
