[디지털투데이 AI리포터] The launch date of the manned spacecraft ‘Starliner’ of the American aerospace company Boeing was announced on the 25th (local time), the IT media Tech Crunch reported.

NASA and Boeing announced that the first crewed Starliner mission will launch on May 6, when Starliner will carry two astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS).

On this day, astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams will board the Starliner and head into space aboard United Launch Alliance’s Atlas V rocket.

In about 24 hours the two astronauts will arrive on the ISS and will remain there for about a week. The Starliner remains docked at the station.

This is the second Starliner flight to the ISS and the first unmanned mission took place in May 2022. If the launch date cannot be met on May 6, there will be additional launch opportunities on May 7, 10 and 11.
