On September 26, 2024, Vietjet Air issued a statement addressing the recent bomb threat on one of its flights. The airline emphasized that the threat was unfounded and that all necessary security procedures were immediately activated.

The incident occurred on flight VZ961 from Da Nang to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. A foreign passenger had informed the crew about the alleged presence of explosives on board, prompting the crew to take swift action.

Upon landing, the aircraft was isolated and parked in a secure area, and a thorough search of passengers, baggage, and cargo was conducted. Passengers were escorted to the terminal building in an orderly manner, and the relevant authorities conducted a thorough inspection of the aircraft.
