In a recent interview on The Project, Bono discussed his upcoming documentary, “Bono: Stories of Surrender,” which explores his life and career. The film touches on the close bond between Hewson and The Edge, who were classmates a year behind Bono.

Bono joked that the pair’s closeness was “still a sore subject,” noting that Hewson seemed particularly interested in The Edge’s guitar playing during their school years. He quipped that he had to become the “class clown” to compete for attention.
