On Saturday March 11, 2023, the official launch of BOOST FASO, which is a non-profit and apolitical organization, took place. BOOST FASO’s mission is to strengthen technical skills, promote entrepreneurship and social commitment among young people in Burkina Faso.
Oumar Dicko, financial analyst in an international firm is the Coordinator of BOOST FASO. Its team is essentially composed of professionals, entrepreneurs, students and young leaders from various backgrounds, with the common vision of making Burkinabè youth a solid base for development.
With the support of our partners, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Resources, Agro Store Production and Faso Livestock, we organized a training conference following the launch focusing on off-the-ground agriculture and poultry farming. The activity brought together more than 250 people who benefited from a practical initiation in these areas.
It is important to emphasize that thanks to all of its national and international technical and financial partners, the majority of BOOST FASO’s activities are subsidized in order to allow young people to benefit from them, and this was the case for this training.
Finally, the coordinator, Oumar Dicko, said that ” technically competent and socially engaged youth is a lever for sustainable socio-economic development ».
