Egyptian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Inspects Qastal Land Port on Sudan Border
On Saturday, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, conducted an inspection of the Qastal land port on the border with Sudan, accompanied by several high-ranking army commanders.
The inspection was part of the military leadership’s efforts to monitor the security situation at border crossings and ports across all strategic directions of the state. The Chief of Staff assessed the security procedures in the southern strategic direction, ensuring the highest level of preparedness and vigilance.
During his visit, Lieutenant General Khalifa also inspected several security points along the southern border, reviewing the insurance system and the living and administrative conditions of the individual fighters. He commended the fighters for their understanding of their tasks, their high level of readiness to engage in combat, and their ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.
The Chief of Staff also acknowledged the crucial role of the Southern Military Region’s fighters in combating infiltration and smuggling attempts in the southern strategic direction.
