742 Chapters Recommended in Malappuram District for 2024-25 Academic Year

Malappuram: A total of 742 chapters have been recommended in the district for the academic year 2024-25, spanning across four District Education Areas (DEOs) and 17 Upazilas (AEOs). The highest number of recommended positions can be found in Thirurangadi at the DEO level and Malappuram at the AEO level.

Breakdown of Recommended Posts by DEO and AEO

At the DEO level, Thirurangadi has 33 recommended posts, while Malappuram has 61. Additional posts have been recommended after the completion of teacher post decisions. In contrast, Tirur has fewer recommendations, with 41 posts. Malappuram has 57 recommended posts, followed by Vandoor with 44.

AEO-Level Recommendations

At the AEO level, Kondotty has the highest number of recommended posts with 59, followed by Mangada with 55, and Vengara with 49. Other areas with significant recommendations include Kizhissery, Tirur, Perinthalmanna, and Thanur.

Job Losses in the District

According to the figures, a total of 244 jobs have been lost in the district. At the DEO level, Tirurangadi has the highest number of lost posts with 33, followed by Vandoor with 16. At the AEO level, Mancheri has the greatest loss of jobs with 24 posts lost, while Tirur Upazila has the least with only one post lost.

Teacher Appointments in the Previous Year

In the 2023-24 academic year, 141 teacher appointments were approved in the Vengara Sub-District area, which received the highest number of approvals. In contrast, Melatoor sub-district had the least number of approvals.
