Border Crossings See Surge in Traffic, But Relief Remains Elusive
Traffic Update: Bosnia and Herzegovina Roads
Traffic on Bosnia and Herzegovina roads can be challenging, especially on wet pavement. We urge drivers to exercise extreme caution and maintain a safe distance between vehicles.
Additionally, we remind other road users to be vigilant and adhere to all traffic regulations.
Traffic Restrictions and Roadworks
Several sections of roads are undergoing sanctioning work, with traffic controlled by temporary traffic lights. Notable routes include:
- Kladanj – Vlasenica
- Foča – Ustikolina
- Dobro Polje – Miljevina
- Olovo - Semizovac
- Međeđa – Višegrad
Furthermore, restoration work is ongoing on the bridge on the main road Rogatica – Ustiprača. Vehicles up to 30 tonnes can pass, but traffic is stopped for vehicles over 30 tonnes.
Border Crossings and Waiting Times
The frequency of vehicles at border crossings has increased, resulting in delays of up to 30 minutes.
Please note that waiting times at border crossings are subject to frequent changes. Drivers can access video surveillance cameras on our website bihamk.ba – Cameras – BIHAMK – car club Bosansko-Herzegovina.
Additionally, traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tons of the maximum permitted weight at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Freight vehicles over 5 t are diverted to Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use GP Šepak.
