Boris FX Continuum 2022.5 released, 15 new transitions, 3D model support for Particle Illusion, etc.

June 23, 2022 (local time) BorisFX has released the latest update to its collection of post-production plug-ins, Boris FX Continuum 2022.5.

New feature highlights

This release adds new features such as over 80 new presets, transitions, additional effects, and support for 3D models in Particle Illusion.

■ 15 new accelerated transitions

Added 15 GPU-accelerated transitions.

Crash zoom moves the viewer to another scene, light leaks move between scenes, film glow and prism dissolve, and more.

Particle Illusion

You can now import Maxon Cinema 4D files to map particles on different surfaces for creative particle control.

After Effects users can use text and masked shapes for line simulation.

5 reconstructed effects

Continuum 2022.5 offers five reconstructed stylistic effects. BCC + Film Glow, Video Glitch, Light Leaks, Magic Sharp and Radial Blur have been rebuilt to get the most out of your GPU. Each effect contains a new preset that allows you to visualize the image at every step.

You can also save your own presets and share them with all hosts running Continuum.

Presets and FX editor enhancements

FX Editor is a versatile way to work with all BCC + effects.

A new easy-to-use overlay widget has been added to this FX Editor. Speed ​​up your workflow with over 60 new effects and transition presets.

In addition to the above, improvements have been made to the Mocha masking workflow.

Continuum 2022.5 is available on Mac OSX 10.15.6 and later, Windows 10 and 11.

The plug-in is compatible with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, OFX hosts Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve, Foundry Nuke, VEGAS Pro, FCP X and Motion.
