Turning professional, she signed with Ben Shalom’s Boxxer promotion and maintained an undefeated record across three fights. Her career showed immense potential, making her loss especially poignant for the sport.
Boxxer expressed their sorrow in a statement, calling O’Connor “a true warrior inside and outside the ring.” They added, “The boxing community has lost a talented, courageous and determined young woman far too soon.
