According to foreign media such as the Associated Press on the 25th (local time), Alejandra Rodriguez took first place in this year’s Miss Universe Buenos Aires pageant held in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.
Rodriguez, 60, currently works as a lawyer and reporter, and is said to be single.
Many people’s attention was focused on Rodriguez when she won the beauty pageant, which was considered the exclusive domain of young women. And the reason this result was possible was because the organizers had abolished the current age limit regulation.
The organizers abolished the age limit rule that only allowed participants between the ages of 18 and 28, which had been in place since 1958, starting from last year’s competition, allowing Rodriguez to take part and win the award. The second place in this competition was in his 70s.

Rodriguez said, “I am very happy to be able to represent a new paradigm in beauty pageants. Beauty has no expiration date. If you want to be beautiful, you must believe in yourself and be true every time.”
Meanwhile, Rodriguez is scheduled to participate as a representative of Buenos Aires in the Miss Universe Argentina pageant which will be held on the 25th of next month.
