Ministries responsible for culture, industry and land are breaking down the walls between ministries and joining as one team to create an industrial complex with culture.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 15th that they will launch a special task force (TF) on ‘Creating an industrial complex with culture’ and hold the meeting first at the Seoul branch of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.

This is in response to President Yoon Seok-yeol’s order to relevant ministries at the 14th People’s Livelihood Debate held in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do last month to “create an industrial complex rich in culture where young people want to live and work .”

As a follow-up measure, these three ministries decided to meet with local governments responsible for industrial complexes, such as Ulsan and Changwon City, and experts in the field of culture and arts on the 6th to listen to opinions on the site, and form a special team between related ministries to collaborate seriously.

This special task force is jointly led by the Director of the Office of Culture and Arts Policy at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Director of the Office of Industrial Infrastructure at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Director of Lands. and the Urban Affairs Office of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Representatives from all ministries and related organizations such as the Regional Culture Promotion Agency, the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, and the Korea Land and Housing Corporation are participating.

The special team communicates with youth workers and local governments and discusses ways of working together between ministries.

In particular, ways to link projects between ministries are being explored, such as combining the culture and arts programs of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the infrastructure built through the structural improvement project of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry Land. , Infrastructure and Transport old industrial complex regeneration project.
